Mini-splits are similar to conventional air-source heat pumps. It consists of an outdoor compressor/condenser and an indoor air-handling unit. These are linked by a conduit housing the power cable, refrigerant tubing, suction tubing and a condensate drain.
A ductless mini-split system is also advisable for new room additions, distribution ductwork extensions or installations is not viable. Mini-splits can also be excellent for new homes with small areas that need conditioning a system.
